Within reason, yes. The indoor unit sits high on a wall, ideally an outside wall, and the outdoor unit goes somewhere quiet and out of the way. We agree both with you at the survey.
No. Split systems contain refrigerant and must be installed and commissioned by an F-Gas certified engineer, and the guarantee depends on it. We don't do supply only.
It's the cooling and heating output of the unit, not what it uses. A 2.5 kW unit cools a bedroom while drawing well under 1 kW of electricity.
